The Supplier Development Programme has been honoured for outstanding achievement at the second Government Opportunities (GO) magazine Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Scotland.
The organisation was presented as Highly Commended in the GO / John F McClelland Collaborative Procurement category at the recent GO Awards Scotland 2009 event.
Accepting the Award, Robert Andrew, Head of the Supplier Development Programme, Glasgow City Council, said: “I would like to thank everybody who has helped the programme over the last couple of years. In particular the procurement staff and all the corporate procurement units, local authorities, the wider public sector, the business support organisations that have assisted us, especially the Intellectual Assets Centre and Enterprise Europe, and also the 17,000 companies that have continued to place their trust in the programme.”
