One of the worlds highest profile and record breaking round the world racing yachts was hosted by Clyde Marina in July.

Alex Thomsons' Open 60 Hugo Boss staged through Ardrossans Clyde Marina, complete with his shore team “pit crew”. Fresh back in the UK from sponsors duties for Hugo Boss with the Maclaren F1 team at the Monaco Grand Prix, followed by the Kiel international regatta in Germany. Alex and the Hugo Boss team chose Clyde Marina as a base to support their sponsor during the Open at Turnberry.

The round the world racing team and holders of world speed records head off next for Cowes Week and the Fastnet Race, followed by the Transat Jaques Fabres Transatlantic Race in the autumn.
