Finding the right premises can often be the critical factor in business success whether you are a new or expanding business. North Ayrshire Council aim to ensure that maximum support is given to all businesses in the area to reduce the upheaval involved in finding and securing the right premises. Support is offered in a number of ways:

Helping to locate the right premise via a personalised interrogation of the premises database.
Preparation and issue of a customised report to the client.
Advice on rental levels and rates costs.
Assistance with applying for the appropriate regulatory approvals such as planning permission and Building warrants.
Assistance, if required, with property viewings and lease negotiations.

North Ayrshire Council has access to the Scottish Property Network (SPN) national database which provides a list of all those office, retail and industrial properties which are currently available. The database includes both private and publicly owned units and contains details on unit location and size as well as lease or sale details.

North Ayrshire Council, as a member of SPN, can carry out searches and issue customised reports on properties that meet with client requirements.

The database also includes details on the availability of land within North Ayrshire if a client is considering a new build option.

The service provides:

Computerised search based on specific criteria.
Customised report issued to client.
Assistance with viewing arrangements if necessary.
Advice on rental levels and rates costs.
Assistance in dealing with the private sector.
Useful numbers for agents dealing in the industrial sector.
